Tai nạn giao thông đường bộ (TNGTĐB) là vấn đề được quan tâm trên toàn thế giới, nhất là ở các nước đang phát triển. TNGTĐB có thể xảy ra ở nhiều khu vực trong mạng lưới đường bộ, bao gồm cả nút giao thông. Tại nút giao thông điều khiển bằng đèn tín hiệu, TNGT thường xảy ra do người tham gia giao thông vượt đèn đỏ, đặc biệt là thanh thiếu niên. Bài báo này nhằm mục đích đánh giá một số yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến khả năng vượt đèn đỏ của thanh thiếu niên thông qua mô hình phương trình cấu trúc (SEM). Kết quả cho thấy, sự gia tăng mức độ ùn tắc, ô nhiễm môi trường và mức độ khó chịu khi chờ đèn đỏ có xu hướng làm tăng khả năng vượt đèn đỏ. Bên cạnh đó, các yếu tố như nam sinh, ít tuổi, không có bằng lái, có tần suất đi lại cao và nút có đèn đếm ngược có nguy cơ vượt đèn đỏ cao. Tuy nhiên, sự có mặt của cảnh sát giao thông hay gia tăng mức phạt khi vượt đèn đỏ có thể làm giảm xác suất vượt đèn đỏ. Căn cứ kết quả phân tích, bài báo đã đề xuất một số giải pháp nhằm hạn chế tình trạng vượt đèn đỏ ở lứa tuổi thanh thiếu niên như tuyên truyền, tăng cường cưỡng chế hay thiết kế nút giao đèn tín hiệu phù hợpTài liệu tham khảo
